Wednesday Morning Kol Isha: Regina Spektor

Today's Kol Isha comes from Regina Spektor. Beatiful song. Pay attention to the kofer lyrics as well (Lyrics for Laughing with), despite her having spent a while at a MO yeshiva day school (Frisch).

  1. I seriously can't stand Regina Spektor.

She (and Feist, and Yael Naim, and all those other breathy/high-pitched/hipster type of women) comes across as idiotic and vapid.

    I liked this post: http://thefastertimes.com/famehype/tag/regina-spektor-sucks/

  2. Tova: But I still like her music. Okay, I maybe have an old-fashioned taste for youngsters like you...

  3. I discovered that she not only went to Frisch but also on the same summer Israel program I went on about 15 years ago, Nesiya (we didn't go the same year, I think she went about 5 years later).

I like her music too, but I've always like breathy female folk singers like Joni Mitchell
