A Christian Kofer Story

Sick of all them Kiruv Stories? On the OTD Resources websites, I posted a collection of OTD Stories. I am looking for more, so feel free to post them in the comments.

Of course there are not just  Jewish people leaving the fold. Here is the story of Robin C. from Mississippi about leaving Christianity called ‘A Beautiful Story’, as posted on the Rational Response Squad website.

Can you spot the parallels?

  1. I actually have some more of those stories saved. I'll dig up the links if I can so you can post them alongside my kofer interviews (of which there should be another one coming shortly).

  8. I always find it strikeing how similar religious fundementalism is, regardles of which religion its a part of.

After spending one's whole life being told that we're so different from the goyim, its fascinating to see just how similar we are.

  9. G*3: How true!

Hedyot: You are the master! I will post these links on otd resources and I can't wait for your next interview.

  10. Hedyot: Do You wish to repost this one on your site to make sure it will remain on the web? http://web.archive.org/web/20071214035029/http:/newvoices.org/features/a-quiet-freshmans-secret-past-2.html

Otherwise, I may want to do it.

  11. No, I'm not reposting it. But actually, I happen to be friends with the person from that article, and I interviewed him myself for the kofer series. However, he changed his mind about wanting his story to appear on the blog.

If it's on archive.org, you don't have to worry about it being lost. The whole point of that site is to preserve pages that have otherwise been lost. Also, I contacted the magazine to see if they could fix the link themselves and put the article back up.
