  1. So when the Rabbis or Orthodox Jews tell you they are not lying, is that them really telling a lie ?

My two cents - Fundamentalist are not intellectually honest. Some outright lie or use deception to 'convert' you or to defend their dogma. See my blog site where are show this with concrete examples. http://altercockerjewishatheist.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

  2. How many atheists are open about the fact that atheism would cause the fairly rapid extinction of humanity? There has never been even one primarily atheistic community which did not experience either a very high level of state sponsored violence and/or a fertility rate below replacement level.

Maybe someone should start a blog "What Your Professor Isn't Telling You".

On the other, atheists believe in no ethics or morality so I guess they can lie whenever they want to.

    1. Define atheist community. What about the Scandinavian countries?

    3. Sweden has a birth rate below replacement, particularly among ethnic (presumably more secularized) Swedes.

    4. Jacob Stein Actually atheist can have ethics / morals see http://altercockerjewishatheist.blogspot.com/2014/05/proof-of-god-from-morality.html and the follow up post.

    5. @ Jacob Stein - This is not about if atheist lie. It is about the fact how some Orthodox Jews behave, and that lying may be sanctioned by some OJ.

  3. I still have never been able to grasp why atheists bother blogging. According to your beliefs, there is no God, therefore there is no soul, therefore there is no free will. We humans are merely automatic meat machines who believe whatever our brain chemistry programs us to believe. So blogging makes as much sense as debating with a Hello Barbie doll.

Would you spend time explaining philosophy to a Hello Barbie?

    2. Whatever I do or say is just whatever the laws of nature have programmed me to say (according to your beliefs). How should I know what I'm going to say and why should you care? Would you argue with Hello Barbie?

And don't forget that whatever you say is pre-programmed as well. You only imagine that you have free will. So we are just two Hello Barbies chattering away at each other. Pointless, isn't it?

    3. I just want to point out in all fairness the blogger who calls himself A Kefirah (why are you guys all afraid to sign your names to anything if you're so sure it's true) does address the issue of blogging and free will when he writes

" there would still be a very useful purpose in that people may line up on one side or the other based on the information that they currently have available. Additional information may sway the outcome, even if brains were entirely deterministic."

      http://kefirahoftheweek.blogspot.com/2015/10/why-i-dont-believe-in-judaism-part-3.html?showComment=1447969325678#c7476544959667803412

The mystery is: useful to whom? What's the point of putting two Hello Barbie next to each other and letting them babble whatever they are programmed to say in response to what each one is saying?
