Petition to Remove Yosef Mizrachi's Shiurim from TorahAnytime.Com

I started a petition against Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi who really crossed the border this time by downplaying the Holocaust. The movie can be found here:

Mizrachi has a history of hurting the feelings of Holocaust survivors, like saying it was predicted in the Torah.

Please sign the petition to have his lectures removed from TorahAnytime.Com here.

  1. Rabbi Mizrachi is trying to deal with the fact that the Shoah essentially proves there is no G-d in heaven or otherwise protecting the Jews. Some Rabbis make excuses for G-d, that it was Jews own fault for one reason or the other the Shoah occurs. They simply can not face reality, just like cargo cultists. Second, most Jews killed in the Shoah were ORTHODOX. The Jews in the USA were overwhelmingly non-orthodox and did not suffer directly.

  2. ACJA - why do you use G-d rather than God?

    1. @ jacob Stein - pleas see http://altercockerjewishatheist.blogspot.com/2015/01/proof-of-god-from-prophecy_77.html and http://altercockerjewishatheist.blogspot.com/2013/08/proof-of-god-via-jewish-survival-jewish.html that ought to help you better understand what a prediction means and what the pasukim are really about. But people such as you can always twist the pasukim to mean just about anything they want them to mean. I think Spinoza wrote how can we discuss with a person a verse that writes one thing, and the person reads something else ?

    2. You could say it's just coincidense that the Holocaust followed the Jewish Enlightenment, just as you could say that it's just coincidence that lung cancer followed 30 years of smoking. The tobacco companies will still today argue that, although a more objective person would disagree.

    3. There's a difference between the correlation between smoking and lung cancer (can be proven and a cause is attached) and a correlation that doesn't allow for a proven causation. So the comparison is wrong.

    4. On January 20, 1942 15 leading German government officials, the majority of whom were holders of doctorates, gathered in a suburb of Berlin to organize the systematic and complete extermination of European Jewry. This was done at the direction of German Chancellor Adolf Hitler. The infamous Wannsee Conference decided the "Final solution to the Jewish question".

During the next three years, until May 7, 1945, approximately five million innocent, unarmed Jews would be murdered, in addition to the one million who had already been killed previously by the German authorities. This seems to have been a unique event. There may be no comparable example of carefully planned mass murder, which was so completely irrational and pointless, on such a large scale.

The strangeness of the Holocaust cannot be overstated.

First of all, Germans were on the average highly educated and civilized. They were very cultured people. Prior to 1933, there had been no anti-Semitic violence in Germany since 1819.1 German Jews had been granted legal equality in 1871. Twelve thousand German Jews gave their lives for the Fatherland from 1914 to 1918. Many German Jews had converted to Christianity, intermarried and had family ties with gentiles. Few were conspicuously observant.

Secondly, in 1942, Germany was in the midst of a tremendous battle for survival, fighting on all sides against the USSR, Britain and America. It would lose this battle three years later. The idea of committing precious administrators, troops, trains, fuel, weapons, ammunition, etc to the pointless murder of civilians, civilians who could have been put to work productively, was not only criminal, it was inexplicable.

The Holocaust is so unbelievable that one can begin to understand the logic behind Holocaust Denial.

There is only one plausible explanation.

The Jewish Enlightenment began in Berlin in 1783 with the publication of a translation of the Pentateuch into German by Moses Mendelssohn. From there it spread across Europe, particularly Eastern Europe, causing the most flagrant, voluntary abandonment of Jewish observance in history. Millions of Jews embraced secular Zionism, Communism and Socialism. I would estimate that by the late 1930’s approximately 90% of European Jewry was non-Orthodox.

As the Torah (Deuteronomy 28) predicts, devastation followed. Beginning in Berlin, spreading across Europe but primarily eastward, the war against the Jews spread, just as the Jews’ war against God had spread.

    5. As usual you ignore documented historical truths. Hitler made it quite clear in his writings that his rabid anti-semitism was triggered when he first encountered a HASIDIC Jew. Prior to that he never understood anti-semitism.

    6. Mein Kampf is propaganda, not accurate autobiography. He never actually exhibited anti-Semitism until after WWI, when he believed (irrationally) that German Jews had been defeatists causing Germany's defeat (the "stab in the back").

  6. You people who write against the Rabbi are mistaken and would do well to contact him and ask for forgiveness though even after he forgives you you will likely still receive some punishment for what you have written. Even if what you write were true you have no permission to write lashon hara. The Rabbi helps many people including my infant son Harper. After Harper was born on March 20, 2014 he would not eat from the bottle and having lost 15% of his body weight was readmitted to hospital. In the hospital Harper was fed through a tube and gained a bit of weight back and was released after a 10 day stay. Back at home Harper still would not eat until he heard one of the Rabbis Torah lectures on the internet. Upon hearing the Torah lecture Harper started to eat and hasnt stopped eating. Now he weighs 28 pounds.
