Great post on body scanning and a way to reign in muslim (or OJ) extremism at the Center for Inquiry.
Spoiler: I think body scanners are too much of an invasion of one's privacy and think the approach is wrong (I prefer the Israeli tested system of personal contact, etc. I just found the idea of using them as a weapon against extremism quite amusing. Sex as a weapon against extremism, just like holding up porn magazines during the infamous Intel Shabbos protests.
that post is stupid, sorry. Body scanners are invasive, and don't add any additional protection, which we also don't NEED, cause how often are terrorists successful in blowing up a plane? They weren't even successful this time! As I commented on the other post, if people get to body scan people, which I'm pretty sure is an "Unreasonable search and seizure" and therefore unconstitutional, given the actual terrorist threat to planes, then as far as I'm concerned the terrorists have won.
ReplyDeleteHi AE, please consider this as a tongue-in-cheek post on my side. I truly believe that these body scanners are just another way of avoiding the inevitable:

Terrible post. Huge invasion of privacy achieving nothing but a little more illusion of security.
ReplyDeleteJA: I think you missed my point but I clarified my position on body scanning in the post itself.
ReplyDeletepardon the pett giness, but the correct spelling is rein
