One of the sweetest discoveries I have made lately is the availability of a Open Yale Course on the Introduction to the Old Testament / Hebrew Bible. This means that you can actually inform yourself on the scientific aspects of the ‘Hebrew Bible’ for free on a university level. Something that I love. I am already through the sixth lecture.

ReplyDeleteI watched those lectures a couple years ago. That was really the first time I studied the bible from a perspective other than OJ. Eye-opening. You don't realize how much thousands of years of interpretation of scripture have imposed on this text that really reflects a completely different world from what we know or choose to remember.
